Dr. Fayez Mohammad Zagzoug

Dr. Faez Mohammed Hassan Zagzoug is a General Physician and Clinical Research Professional. He serves as the Deputy Head of the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) at King Fahd Medical Research Center, King Abdulaziz University, where he leads the development of the unit’s organizational and operational framework and oversees the management and coordination of clinical trials, enhancing the university’s readiness to attract and conduct clinical research in accordance with the highest national and international standards. He has extensive expertise in clinical trial operations, regulatory compliance with the International Council for Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) guidelines, clinical trial governance, contract and budget management, development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and digital transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and research quality. Dr. Zagzoug holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Science in Clinical Physiology, with Honors, from King Abdulaziz University. He is a Certified Professional in Clinical Research (ACRP-CP) and has completed the Clinical Research Investigator Skills Program (CRISP). He began his professional career as a physician at the Saudi Ministry of Health before joining King Abdulaziz University. He currently serves as Deputy Head of the Clinical Trials Unit at King Fahd Medical Research Center, leading clinical trials administration and strategic initiatives that enhance research quality, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and innovation. He is fluent in both Arabic and English.
