Dr. Ahmad Bo-Eisa is a Senior Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon based in Hofuf, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. He has served as full-time Senior Consultant in pediatric orthopedics and deformity correction at Almoosa Specialist Hospital since June 2021, having previously worked there part-time (2015–2021) while serving as full-time Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon in the Orthopedic Department at King Fahad Hospital, Hofuf (KFHH), from April 1999 to June 2021. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from King Faisal University in 1990, and completed an internship at King Faisal University Hospital in 1991. He joined orthopedic training in 1992, obtaining Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), Ireland, in 1995, and the Fellowship of Arab Orthopedic Surgery (FAOS), Damascus, in 1997. He completed a Microsurgical Training Fellowship at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in 1998, followed by a two-year Fellowship in Pediatric Orthopedics (FKFSH) in April 1999. He later undertook special training in the Ilizarov method in Kurgan, Russia (2002), vertebroplasty in Bern, Switzerland (2005), and spine fixation in Austria (2006). His practice covers the full range of pediatric orthopedics and reconstructive surgery, including deformity corrections, pediatric hip reconstruction, and complex Ilizarov procedures. He performs microvascular procedures of the hands, feet and neck, reconstructive surgery for cerebral palsy and disability, and brachial plexus injury and nerve palsy repair and reconstruction. He also treats trauma cases, including pelvic reconstruction and acetabular fractures, and performs primary and revision hip and knee joint replacements. He has served in numerous leadership roles, including Chairman of the Orthopedic Department and of the Operating Room Department at King Fahad Hospital, Hofuf, Saudi Orthopedic Training Program Director in Hofuf (2002–2010), and Chairman of TSF Courses in the Middle East (2010–2015); he currently directs the Orthopedic Training Program at Almoosa Hospital (since 2022). He is a Board Member of the Saudi Orthopedic Association, a member of the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America (POSNA) and AO Spine International, and a Board Member of Arab Orthopedic News (AON). He is a Reviewer for the Journal of Musculoskeletal Surgery and Research and an Editor of MOJ Orthopedics & Rheumatology, and has authored around 20 peer-reviewed publications and a book on back pain (Arabic, 2015), covering topics including pediatric deformity correction, sickle cell orthopedic complications, and rare pediatric trauma case reports.
